About

I am a licensed Psychologist and Psychoanalyst in New York City, specializing in individual and couples therapy since 2002. I focus on helping you to improve and enhance self-understanding, to learn how to make better decisions, and to live a happier and more satisfying life, with stronger self-determination, autonomy, and a greater sense of freedom.
My approach is client-centered, solution-focused and psychodynamic. Areas of expertise include: anxiety, isolation and loneliness, trauma, low self-esteem, gay, lesbian and transgender issues, creative blocks, identity issues, separation, loss and grief, coming of age concerns, relationship conflicts, and issues of intimacy and infidelity.
As a Staff Member  at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center, I work with individuals, couples and groups. I offer my services in both English and German. My private practice is conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan.
