Approach

My approach is client-centered, solution-focused, and from a psychodynamic perspective. This means that every moment of treatment is tailored to your needs, experiences and goals, and is focused on helping you to become who you want to be. Whether you are struggling with an isolated aspect of your life, or with several issues affecting different parts of your life, the goal of treatment is to enable you to gain a full understanding of the range of issues involved. This knowledge will help you to reflect on your options for change, and will allow you to take the necessary steps toward resolving your issues and moving ahead. My work is centered on bringing obstructive aspects of your personality and life circumstances to the fore, and implementing the changes necessary for you to pursue your goals, make better choices, and live the fulfilled and happy life of your choosing.
My approach is not geared toward giving advice; it is focused on empowering you to make your own choices and to put into practice inner changes that you wish to make, in order to live more meaningfully, and to achieve more fulfillment. The ability to make the appropriate changes and implement your goals shall stay with you beyond your time in treatment, putting you on track to live a more independent and satisfying life.
